Mellor Coachcraft has launched a new, innovative product into the low floor sector, based on a Fiat Ducato with an AL-KO chassis conversion.
The frame is made from Stainless steel to combat corrosion, whilst all external panels are made from colour impregnated composite panels, to reduce the need for painting and to ease accident repair, if required. Offering a number of door configurations, the vehicle comes with either a coach rear or double rear doors; the Near side entrance can have either a single or double door arrangement, either power or manual operation and with the optional fitment of ramps at either entrance, this enhances ease of access and egress.
Whilst the external body lines are sleek, as you would expect from Mellor, the interior of the vehicle benefits from a completely bespoke set of internal lining panels, colour co-ordinated to create a relaxing, warm environment in which to travel.
